Editorial Policy
This page explains how LifeCover Insights decides what to publish, how guides are produced, and how we handle mistakes. Our goal is simple: to give readers accurate, easy-to-understand information about life insurance, without a sales agenda.
What we publish
We write about the questions people actually have when they shop for, own or claim on life insurance: how policies work, what affects the price, how to compare quotes, and what happens after a death. Our guides are educational. They are not personalized advice, and we do not recommend specific insurance companies or products.
How guides are produced
Guides are drafted with the help of AI writing tools and published under the editorial responsibility of Victor Gomez. Drafts are organized around a plain-English explanation, concrete examples, and a clear statement of what varies by insurer or state.
Sources
When an article depends on official rules or programs, we cite the source and link to it. Sources we rely on include IRS publications for tax treatment, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners for consumer tools such as the Life Insurance Policy Locator, and the Social Security Administration for survivor benefits. Insurance rules, pricing and underwriting practices vary by company and state, and we say so where it matters.
Accuracy and corrections
Each guide shows an update date. If you find an error or something that is out of date, email vgomezvaliente@gmail.com. We will review it, correct the page, and update the date. Material corrections will be noted on the page.
Independence and advertising
The site earns revenue from display ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over our content, we do not accept payment to publish or rank articles, and we do not accept payment from insurers for reviews or placement. The calculators on this site run in your browser and do not store or transmit what you enter.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax or insurance advice. For decisions about your own coverage, speak with a licensed insurance professional and, where relevant, a tax advisor or attorney.
